Isabel Marant: Home Page
Slide left/right to compare original Isabel Marant home page to my concept home page

The Home Page
I kept a minimalistic appearance on the home page by keeping the scrolling to a minimal and having a simple hero image carousel that takes up most of the space.
The primary navigation has also been moved to the top of the site.
Hero Image Carousel
I chose to use an image carousel, instead of a static hero image, because it allows more content to be shown without using additional real estate.
My image carousel allows me to advertise products from Isabel Marant’s “Lunar New Year Collection” in a dynamic way that grabs the user’s attention, and it still gives the website a modern and minimalistic look.
The indicators for the carousel is the Isabel Marant logo, which turns red to indicate which image is being displayed. The indicators are clickable so the user can select which image they want to look at.
Navigation
Isabel Marant’s original main navigation was on the left and all of their categories were accessible on it. This resulted in a lot of accordion menus, that push the other categories down, and no separation between shopping pages and other content, such as news.
To fix this, I grouped all the accordion menus and moved them into a larger menu, called “Shop.” This allows the shopping pages to be categorized as such, and clarifies that the subsections, of “Shop,” are shopping pages.
Footer
My footer uses the same links and I mainly changed the way it looks.
I added a country flag corresponding to what country website the user is shopping on. I think having an image of the relative country flag is important because if the “Shop in: US” link is written in a foreign language, then the user may have trouble sourcing the country/language switch.

Along with adding a country flag, I also added some quick links to Isabel Marant’s social media pages.
